Common Issues
Solutions to real problems you might encounter in LiteWork.
Document Won’t Save
Check your internet connection: LiteWork needs an active connection to save your data. Try refreshing the page once you’re back online.
Reauthorize your account: Go to LiteWork Settings → Connected Accounts and click Reconnect Google Account to refresh your session.
Check required fields: Make sure all required fields are filled in. Missing client details or line item information can prevent saving.
Documents Missing from List
Check you’re on the right company: Look at the header to see which company is selected. If you have multiple companies, switch to the correct one.
Clear filters: Reset all filters in the document manager. Check that you haven’t filtered to only invoices when looking for a quote.
Try a hard refresh: Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R to reload without cache. This often resolves display issues.
Sync Errors
Connection expired: Your Xero or Google connection may need to be refreshed. Go to LiteWork Settings → Connected Accounts and reconnect.
Temporary service issue: Occasionally cloud services experience brief outages. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Contact support: If errors persist, email support@litework.nz with the error message.
Performance Issues
Close extra tabs: Each browser tab consumes memory. Keep only LiteWork and essential tabs open.
Disable extensions: Ad blockers and script blockers can interfere. Test in incognito mode (no extensions) to see if performance improves.
Clear cache: Browser Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files.
Contact Not Appearing
Wasn’t saved: Go to the Contacts page and check if the contact exists. If not, add it again.
Search differently: Try the company name instead of the contact person’s name, or vice versa.
Print Issues
Save first: Always save the document before printing. Wait for the green checkmark.
Export as PDF: Instead of printing directly, use Print → Save as PDF.
