Creating Your Account

Getting started with LiteWork takes about a minute. You’ll create an account, start your free trial, and be ready to send your first invoice.

Two Ways to Sign Up

LiteWork offers two registration methods. Choose whichever suits you best—both give you the same full access.

Sign Up with Google

The fastest option. Click Sign in with Google on the login page, choose your Google account, and you’re in. Your email is automatically verified, and you can start using LiteWork immediately.

This is the recommended option if you have a Google account—no passwords to remember, and you benefit from Google’s security.

Sign Up with Email

Prefer to use a different email address? Click Create account and enter:

  • Your name — How you’d like to be addressed
  • Email address — This becomes your login
  • Password — At least 10 characters

After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email. Click the link to verify your address—this helps keep your account secure and ensures you receive important notifications.

Tip: The verification link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, just log in and we’ll send a new one.

What Happens When You Sign Up

When you create your account, LiteWork automatically:

  1. Creates your organization — Your billing entity that holds your companies and team
  2. Starts your free trial — 14 days with full access to all features
  3. Sets you as the owner — Full control over billing and team management

No credit card is required to start your trial. You’ll only need payment details if you decide to continue after the trial ends.

Password Requirements

If you’re signing up with email, your password needs to be at least 10 characters. That’s the only rule—no mandatory symbols, numbers, or uppercase letters.

We follow modern security guidelines that prioritize password length over complexity. A longer password is more secure than a short one with random symbols.

Note: LiteWork checks passwords against known data breaches. If your chosen password has appeared in a breach, you’ll be asked to choose a different one—this protects your account even if the breach was unrelated to LiteWork.

After You Sign Up

Once you’re in, you’ll see the onboarding screen with two options:

  • Connect to Xero — Import your company details, contacts, and invoices automatically
  • Create New Company — Set up manually if you’re not using Xero

Either path gets you to invoicing quickly. See the Quick Start Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Already Have an Account?

If you’ve previously signed up, just click Sign in instead. If you signed up with Google before, use the Google sign-in button. If you used email and password, enter those credentials.

Forgot your password? See Signing In to LiteWork for password reset instructions.
