Auto-Sync
Auto-Sync keeps your LiteWork documents synchronized with Xero automatically. It runs in the background at configurable intervals (5-30 minutes), syncing invoices, quotes, contacts, and payment statuses without interrupting your work.
Setup
Go to LiteWork Settings → Xero Sync and toggle Auto-Sync on. Choose your sync interval—15 minutes works well for most users. Shorter intervals (5-10 min) suit busy environments with frequent Xero changes.
Status Indicator
The header shows the current sync state:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Enabled and waiting for next cycle |
| Blue | Currently syncing |
| Yellow | Paused (during editing or manual sync) |
| Gray | Disabled |
Click the indicator for details about the last sync and next scheduled sync.
Automatic Pausing
Auto-Sync pauses automatically when you’re editing a document or running a manual sync. It resumes when you’re done.
Conflict Handling
If the same document was changed in both LiteWork and Xero, Auto-Sync alerts you rather than overwriting either version. You decide which version to keep. See Resolving Sync Conflicts.
Troubleshooting
Not running? Check that Auto-Sync is enabled in Settings and you’re connected to Xero.
Always paused? Close any open documents or the Sync Status Dashboard.
Too many conflicts? Coordinate with others editing in Xero, or use a longer sync interval.
