Understanding Your Trial
Every new LiteWork account starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required—just sign up and start using LiteWork with full access to all features.
What’s Included
Your trial includes everything in the Business plan, our highest tier:
- All features — Invoicing, quotes, Xero integration, email delivery, payment links
- Up to 25 team members — Invite your whole team
- Up to 10 companies — Perfect for testing with multiple businesses
- Up to 1,000 documents per month — No limits during your evaluation
This lets you properly evaluate LiteWork without hitting artificial limits. Use it exactly as you would with a paid subscription.
Trial Timeline
Your trial lasts 14 days from when you create your account. Here’s what to expect:

| Day 7 | Reminder email (7 days left) |
| Day 10 | Reminder email (4 days left) |
| Day 13 | Final reminder (1 day left) |
| Day 14 | Trial ends |
A banner at the top of LiteWork shows how many days remain in your trial.
When Your Trial Ends
If you haven’t subscribed by the end of your trial, your account enters a 7-day grace period:
- Read-only access — View your documents and contacts
- No editing — Can’t create or modify invoices, quotes, or contacts
- No syncing — Xero sync paused
- Subscribe anytime — Full access restored immediately when you subscribe
After the grace period, your account is suspended until you subscribe. Your data is preserved—nothing is deleted.
Note: You can subscribe at any point during the trial or grace period. There’s no penalty for waiting, but you’ll lose editing access during the grace period.
Checking Your Trial Status
Look for the trial banner at the top of LiteWork. It shows:
- Green banner — 8+ days remaining, plenty of time
- Yellow banner — 3-7 days remaining, time to decide
- Red banner — 1-2 days remaining, subscribe soon
You can also check your subscription status in LiteWork Settings → Billing.
Subscribing from Your Trial
Ready to continue with LiteWork? Click Upgrade in the trial banner or go to LiteWork Settings → Billing and click Choose Plan.
You’ll see our three plans:
- Solo ($29/month) — For individual users
- Team ($59/month) — For small teams up to 5 people
- Business ($129/month) — For growing businesses up to 25 people

What Happens to Your Data?
Your data is safe regardless of what happens with your subscription:
- During trial — Full access to all data
- Grace period — Read-only access, data preserved
- After suspension — Data preserved, restored when you subscribe
- If you subscribe — Seamless continuation, nothing changes
We don’t delete your data if you don’t subscribe. If you decide LiteWork isn’t for you, you can export your data first.
